It has now been 21 days since Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne should have relieved head coach Dennis Franchione of his coaching duties. If losing 42-14 at home to Iowa State and essentially having any hope of a bowl berth vanish isn't enough, what is?

Last night I watched from a few feet away as Fran and the defensive coaches and players disembarked from the buses at Jones SBC. I noticed a team who like their head coach was emotionless. I sensed a desire on the part of everyone just to get the season over with.
Sitting behind the Aggie bench during the game, nothing changed my mind.
Something like a housecleaning of coaches needs to take place.
This coaching staff like Fran appears too distant.
After the game, the TT radio crew mentioned that Fran is now 16 and 17 since arriving at A&M and his teams have been outscored by 20 or more points in 11 games.
Fran supporters indicated RC had left the pantry empty. It is still empty after three years and TTU is making huge inroads in the Houston recruiting grounds that A&M use to perform well in.
If the pantry had truly been left empty by RC, we'd all be dead from starvation by now. This is mostly a Fran recruited team now. The pantry is more empty now than at any time since the 60s.
IT IS time for a change!!! That was evident in the game against OU when for some reason the coaching staff seemed too busy to manage the time remaining in the game. I mean please....anyone knows that as your team runs the ball successfully, there is also another thing that runs without fail.....THE CLOCK!!! While this is great for teams with the lead, it is completely different, as one would rightfully assume, for teams playing from behind, LIKE THE AGGIES!!
There are many young, hungry coaches out there who would at least bring some excitement to the sidelines. The direction of the program under Coach Franchione seems stagnant (no improvement in three years). Why should Texas A&M accept mediocraty when other programs without our kind of fan support are faring much better. Let's get a top flight coach in here such as TCU's Gary Patterson. At least we won't get the quarterback killed running the option, and the defense would attck not react.

You guys just don't get it. fran came to atm from Alabama. Do you know what that means? He drove assbackwards! He's still driven assbackwards. The best you sheepboys can ever hope for is 3rd in the Big 12 South! Right now our behind TT and Baylor! You better hope that Gabriel blows his horn....because that's really your on hope! What coach is gonna wanna come to that $hit hole of a town?

as a alabama fan i been waiting for coach fran to show his true colors since he stabbed us in the back nothing against texas a&m but till you get a new coach i hope he loses all his games he is a liar and only looks out for himself he doesnt care about his players i hope yall find a new coach to bring some respect back to your program
Several years ago when Franchione left Alabama I posted some negative comments about him on a forum in the Batallion. A number of A&M fans lamblasted me. Now all I have to say is: I TOLD YOU SO!
