Well, that didn't take long, did it?

Rush Limbaugh can kiss my butt, because I came up with this premise long before he did. And I'd like to thank Nancy Pelosi for bringing it to fruition.

As soon as the mid-term elections were over, I told anyone who would listen (and blogged it somewhere else) that we were in for two years of nothing because the Dems would screw themselves. The newly elected moderates wouldn't get along with the leftist leadership and none of them have any ounce of moral fibre to begin with.

Nutcase Nancy made my point better than I ever could by turning around, after campaigning about cleaning up corruption on Capitol Hill and fixing the Iraq situation--not cutting and running, then turning around and nominating the idiotic John Murtha to be House Majority Leader.

Murtha's not just the king of the cut-and-run lefties; he's also about as corrupt as anybody in Washington! He was an unindicted co-conspirator in the ABSCAM scandal 20 years ago and called Pelosi's own ethics reform bill "crap" last week!

Of course, he didn't win; the more subtly corrupt Steny Hoyer is the new Majority Leader. But, in the process, Pelosi already pissed off the moderates with her backing of Murtha, who went around telling newbies that what they said in public about the vote really didn't matter--who cares about giving your word? In other words, everything's for sale, just as it ever was.
Pelosi kept quiet publicly, but several congressmen who crossed her have already been told they're screwed.

Ok, so the party against corruption has proved itself to be corrupt and has already alienated the people it needs to push any substantive legislation through Congress (when GWB will kill it). All this in one week.

I can't wait to see what's next!
